Jacques Bonvoisin is a chemist / physical chemist, the first part of his career was devoted to the study of the magnetic properties of transition metal complexes in biomimetic chemistry and chemistry of the solid. In 1993, he joined the team of Professor Jean-Pierre Launay and devoted himself to the study of electron transfer in organic and inorganic systems. He is specialized in the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of transition metal complexes. He is heavily involved in understanding the processes of electron transfer and magnetic interactions in molecular systems in the theme ’Nanoscience and Molecular Electronics". Since 2003, year of his HDR, he became interested in quantum computing and exploring different avenues to obtain a molecule capable of performing a logical operation.
