Carbon nanotubes filled with material

The various ways for filling CNTs are now well explored. Our most popular filled-SWCNTs are the peapods (C60@SWCNTs, that we co-discovered in 1998 upon a collaboration with University of Pennsylvania), that we keep preparing to investigate their unique behavior and properties (see next section). But other filled CNTS are also considered (Co@SWCNTs, PbS@DWCNTs, etc…) to investigate the properties of the filling material when confined and constrained to adopt a 1D morphology, or the properties of the whole hybrid nano-objects (see next section).
