Decreasing the size of an object down to the nanometer scale can strongly impact its electronic and vibrational properties. We investigate experimentally (PL, Raman spectroscopy) and theoretically these effects.
Ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy of individual nano-objects
We investigate the ultrafast electronic and vibrational dynamics of nano-objects. To allow for a precise comparison between experiment and theory, we have developed an ultrafast pump-probe optical set-up optimized for detection of individual nano-objects.
To bring together nanometer spatial resolution and subpicosecond time resolution, and maximize the brightness of the electron source, we aim at developing an ultrafast Transmission Electron Microscope based on a Cold-Field emission electron gun. This project is a collaboration between our group, NeO, and the TEM group of CEMES, I3EM. It is supported by ANR and Institut of Physics of CNRS.
