Call for NEXT Master 2 scholarships

Description of the call:

In the framework of the training program of the “Laboratoire d’excellence” NEXT (Nano, EXtreme Measurements & Theory), students from France or the European Union (European Economic Area and Switzerland) can apply for a Master 2 scholarship of the University of Toulouse (cf. Appendix 1). These Master courses are in direct relation to one of the NEXT founding laboratories:

CEMES: Centre d’Élaboration de Matériaux et d’Études Structurales (www.cemes.fr)

LNCMI: Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses (www.toulouse.lncmi.cnrs.fr)

LCPQ: Laboratoire de Chimie et Physique Quantiques (www.lcpq.ups-tlse.fr)

LCAR: Laboratoire Collisions-Agrégats-Réactivité (www.lcar.ups-tlse.fr)

LPT: Laboratoire de Physique Théorique de Toulouse (www.lpt.ups-tlse.fr)

LPCNO: Laboratoire de Physique et de Chimie des Nano-Objets (lpcno.insa-toulouse.fr)

 

Details of the scholarship:

Financial support of 436 €/month during 11 months, from 2012/09/01 to 2013/07/31.

Accommodation in an university student room (or equivalent), directly paid by NEXT during 11 months (from 2012/09/01 to 2013/07/31)

Possibility to attend intensive French courses organized by the University of Toulouse.

 

Application Procedure:

The applicant should fill in the information form of Appendix 2, and provide the supporting documents listed below. Supporting documents:

- The filled information form with the explicit choice for one of the Master 2 degrees listed below, and the signed commitment to perform the research training in one of the NEXT laboratories

- Copy of passport or national identity card (Schengen area) valid at least until July 31st 2013

- Curriculum Vitae

- Examination marks from the Master 1 (or equivalent) university year

- Letter presenting the applicant’s motivations for the Master 2 degree, written in French or English

- Two recommendation letters from University teaching staff who supervised the applicant

 

Deadlines of the scholarship call

Opening: April 16th 2012

Deadline for submission: May 11th 2012 at 12pm (French time)

Results will be published by June 6th 2012

 

N.B.: The acceptance of the “NEXT master 2 scholarship” application will not include the pre-registration at the University of Toulouse, which is mandatory. This pre-registration can only be done by internet at the address: http://www.syspo.ups-tlse.fr/ before June 8th 2012.
