Jerky motion of screw dislocations, in prismatic planes of beryllium at room temperature

Author : A. Couret

Description: Vertical bright lines are screw dislocations observed in dark field and weak-beam conditions. They move to the right under the stress applied to the sample. Their rectilinear aspect and their jerky glide motion are typical of a "locking-unlocking" mechanism.
