Nanotechnology to invent and develop plastic materials with new added value: European Project nanoDesk - INTERREG – SUDOE. We aim to promote the applications of nanotechnologies and the use of nanomaterials in the plastics industry and to have a set of tools available for free on the internet (interactive platform and observatory). NanoDesk is a decision support system for the selection of nano additives to optimize the performance and added value of composites. It is the 1st interactive observatory concerning the safety of materials based on nanostructured polymers. It includes a set of simulation tools, Qsar models, to support and provide information on the toxicological profile of the nano-additives considered and 3 new models of "exposure" to assess the risks posed by the use of nanoadditives for manufacturers, consumers and the environment.
