MEM: Materials and devices for Electronics and Magnetism

Nature and atomic structure of nanomaterials that constitute building blocks for ultimate electronics and spintronics define their physical properties. We study the relationships between atomic structure and electronic, optic and magnetic properties of these nanomaterials assemblies in order to understand the physical mechanisms that govern their properties. Tuning these properties for MOS, photonics, memories and sensor applications is our goal. The group relies on several skills: fabrication, structural and chemical characterization till the nanometer scale, micro and nanomagnetism, spin dynamics, atomic scale modeling.
