This certification recognizes employer sites that implement ambitious, bike-specific initiatives in accordance with the specifications developed by the FUB. Governance, communication, services, safety, and facilities were the five areas audited to obtain this certification.
Earning this certification is a recognition of the work carried out over several years by the Cycling Team as part of the CEMES Sustainable Laboratory initiative: creation of a repair workshop, installation of new parking spaces (36 in total to date), provision of loan bicycles, participation in the seasonal AYAV (Allons-y à vélo) challenges organized by Deux Pieds Deux Roues (2p2r) and the Maison du Vélo, and more.
These actions have contributed to the desired goal: increasing the modal share of cycling within the laboratory. Indeed, while in 2022 only 10% of staff commuted by bike, the figure has now reached 18% in 2025, with a target of 20% by 2030, while maintaining this rate over time (the national target of the State’s cycling plan for that year is 12%).
Cycling mobility is rapidly growing across the Toulouse metropolitan area, and CEMES is proud to contribute to this evolution in everyday transportation.
