We are excited to announce an upcoming CECAM flagship workshop on “Magnetic interactions and topological spin textures in 2D van der Waals magnets and their heterostructures” which will take place at CEMES-CNRS in Toulouse (France) from June 25 to June 27 2025.
This workshop will be driven by theory and experiments to predict various topological spin textures and better understand their formation mechanisms, stability, and manipulation via external stimuli in experimentally feasible 2D van der Waals materials.
We anticipate the following key topics: (i) Magnetic interactions, (ii) Spin simulations, (iii) Quantum transport, (iv) Methodology developments, (v) Experimental progress and challenges.
