The 13th ''Journées de l'EELS'' will be held at CEMES from 2 to 4 July 2024

Following on from the last edition of JEELS, which took place in Munster with the German EELS community, this edition will be a joint congress between the French and Spanish communities.

Recent advances in electron optics, gun brightness, electron monochromators, new spectroscopic instruments and detectors have motivated the development of multiple fast electron spectroscopies capable of atomic scale spatial resolution and the use of complementary EM-based techniques for materials science. JEELS 2024 will be a forum to discuss the current state, new developments and prospects for techniques, instrumentation and data analysis.

The scope of the conference includes:
– Correlative spectroscopies for materials science
– Advanced instrumentation, signal and image processing
– Low-energy excitations
– Theory applied to electronic spectroscopies
– Operando
– New spectroscopies
